Samsung Appliances We Repair in Raleigh

Jump to what usually fails in each one and what the repair involves.

Samsung builds its appliances around electronics: inverter compressors and variable-speed fans in the refrigerators, direct-drive motors and load-sensing boards in the washers, touch controls on nearly everything else. The result is quiet and efficient, but a Samsung fault is more often a sensor, a board or a connector than a worn mechanical part.

Our technicians read the Samsung display codes, run the hidden test modes and meter each component before naming a part. Common boards, ice makers and pumps are widely stocked; Bespoke panels take longer.

What breaks in Samsung refrigerators

  • Ice maker frosting on French-door models. Warm air passes a worn ice room seal or a stalled ice room fan in the left door, and the bin freezes solid. We replace the seal, fan, fill tube heater or ice maker.
  • Compressor silent. Often the inverter drive on the main board has failed, not the compressor, so we test it first.
  • Fresh-food side warm. A failed defrost heater or sensor ices the evaporator.
  • Sealed system. Leaks and dead compressors get a sealed-system repair and recharge in place.

How a refrigerator repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung washers

  • UE or Ub in spin. The board aborts spin on an uneven load. If normal loads trigger it, the shock absorbers on a front loader or the suspension rods on a top loader are worn.
  • 5C drain faults. Socks and hair ties reach the drain pump filter behind the small lower front cover; we clear it and test the pump.
  • dC door lock. A worn latch or lock switch stops the cycle before it fills.
  • Drum noise. Failed bearings, or a corroded drum spider on older Samsung front loaders.

How a washer repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung dryers

  • No heat, electric. The thermal fuse on the Samsung heater housing opens when exhaust is restricted, often with HE on the display. We replace it and check the vent run, or the new fuse blows again.
  • No heat, gas. Weak gas valve coils let the igniter glow without lighting.
  • Squeal or thump. Drum rollers, idler pulley and belt wear together on high-use Samsung dryers.
  • tS or tO. The thermistor or its connector reads open or shorted.

How a dryer repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung dishwashers

  • LC leak code. Water in the base pan lifts a float switch. On Samsung units the door gasket, sump seal or a hose is the usual source, and we find it before any reset.
  • WaterWall not cleaning. A motor-driven vane travels along a track in the tub floor; a stuck vane or worn drive parts leave whole rows dirty.
  • Not draining. A clogged filter or failed drain pump.
  • Cold water, wet dishes. Heater, thermistor or a control board relay.

How a dishwasher repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung ranges and wall ovens

  • Gas oven slow to light. A weak glow-bar igniter cannot open the safety valve; we measure its current draw.
  • Uneven baking. A burnt bake element or a tired convection fan motor.
  • Flex Duo confusion. A sensor detects the divider; when it fails, the control heats the wrong zone or will not start.
  • Locked after self-clean. Self-clean heat stresses the Samsung door lock motor and control board, so we test both.
  • Phantom keys. A failing glass touch control.

How an oven or range repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung cooktops

  • Induction zone dead. On Samsung induction cooktops, the power board or the cooling fan under the glass; a weak fan lets the board overheat and drop zones.
  • Radiant element cold. The element, its limiter or a relay on the touch board.
  • Gas burners clicking. Moisture in a spark switch or the spark module after a boil-over.
  • Controls locked. A failing touch board, or a lock mode left on, which we rule out first.

How a cooktop repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung microwaves

  • Runs, no heat. Magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor, tested after the capacitor is discharged.
  • Stops when the door moves. Door switches and latch hooks wear on Samsung over-the-range models; a failed monitor switch blows the line fuse.
  • Keys dead or SE shown. A shorted touch panel or ribbon cable.
  • Sparks inside. Chipped ceramic enamel in the cavity or a burnt waveguide cover.
  • Vent fan out. A grease-loaded motor or its relay.

How a microwave repair visit goes

What breaks in Samsung range hoods

  • Blower slow or humming. Grease reaches the motor bearings and run capacitor of Samsung wall and insert hoods.
  • Touch controls dead. Heat and grease work into the control board or membrane.
  • Lights out. The LED module or its driver.
  • Hood ignores the cooktop. Samsung hoods that pair with a Samsung cooktop can lose that link; we re-pair them or replace the control board.
  • Rattle at high speed. A loose blower wheel or a flapping damper.

Parts and warranty on Samsung repairs

We install only Samsung OEM parts, matched to your model and serial number: inverter boards, ice room parts, drain pumps, door locks and sensors. Most Samsung refrigerator and laundry parts arrive within a few business days; Bespoke door panels and some range boards take longer. If your Samsung is still under its manufacturer's warranty, contact Samsung first, since those repairs are handled by Samsung. Our own repairs carry a 90-day labor warranty.

Samsung codes we see most often

These are the display codes that bring us the most Samsung calls. The wording is ours, and the meaning can shift between model years, so treat the table as a starting point: a technician confirms the cause with tests before any part is replaced.

CodeApplianceWhat it usually points to
4CWasherWater is not reaching the drum in time; supply, hoses or inlet valve
5CWasherWater is not draining in time; filter, hose or drain pump
dCWasherDoor or lid not locked; some older top loaders use it for unbalance
UEWasherUnbalanced load stopped the spin; worn suspension if it keeps repeating
HEDryerDryer is not heating as expected; thermal fuse, element or gas parts
LCDishwasherWater in the base pan tripped the leak float switch
22ERefrigeratorFresh-food fan is not running, often blocked by ice
OF OFRefrigeratorShowroom mode is on; lights and display work but nothing cools

Vlad was very helpful and polite, he fixed my fridge within 4 hours of when I called his company and when he told me the (reasonable) price upfront, it didn't jump up with hidden fees or add-ons. He was very considerate and clean, plus he cleaned out 10 years of dust from the system for free!

Process

How It Works

  1. Book Your Appointment

Pick an open 2-hour arrival window online or call the Raleigh team. Tell us the brand and what the appliance is doing so the technician brings the right parts.

  2. Diagnosis & Written Estimate

The technician looks the appliance over and tells you what failed. Then you get a written estimate on the spot, with parts and labor included.

  3. Your Decision

Nothing gets repaired until you approve the estimate. If you go ahead, the diagnostic fee is waived. If you don't, you pay the diagnostic fee and nothing else. And if a repair would run more than half the price of a new appliance, we'll tell you so you can decide.

  4. Repair & Warranty

If the technician has the part with them, the repair is usually done the same visit. If it has to be ordered, you pick a time for us to come back. Pay by card, cash, check, or tap. Labor is covered for 90 days.

Book a Diagnostic Visit

The diagnostic visit (service call) is $65 for most appliances and $85 for refrigerators, built-in ovens, and microwaves, per appliance. We inspect it, find the problem, and give you a repair estimate. The fee is waived when you approve the repair; if you decide not to repair, it's all you pay. Open 2-hour arrival windows are shown live.

Questions About Samsung Repair in Raleigh

Are you an authorized Samsung service center?

No. We are an independent repair company with no affiliation to Samsung. If your appliance is still under Samsung's manufacturer warranty, contact Samsung first, since those repairs go through them. After that, we repair Samsung appliances in your home with Samsung OEM parts and a written estimate first.

What fails most often on Samsung appliances?

The ice maker in the left door of French-door refrigerators: frost from a worn ice room seal or a stalled ice room fan, a frozen fill tube, a jammed bin. On front-load washers, drain pumps, door locks and shock absorbers. On dryers, the thermal fuse after a restricted vent. On Twin Cooling models, an iced fresh-food evaporator that stops the fan and posts 22E.

How do you diagnose a Samsung inverter compressor that will not start?

The compressor runs from an inverter circuit on the main board, so we test the board's output and the compressor windings separately. A bad board with a healthy compressor is a board swap. A failed compressor or a leak means a sealed-system repair in place: compressor, leak repair and recharge.

Are Samsung parts easy to get?

For most models, yes. Samsung ice makers, drain pumps, door locks, boards and sensors are widely stocked and usually arrive within a few business days. Bespoke panels, some range boards and parts for discontinued models take longer, and a few older Samsung parts are no longer made.

Is a noisy Samsung front loader worth repairing?

It depends on the cause. Worn shock absorbers are a modest, worthwhile repair. Failed drum bearings mean pulling the tub from the cabinet, and a corroded drum spider brings in the drum assembly too. That makes sense on a newer Samsung with a sound motor and board, less so on an older one.
