Very respectable and polite. Great experience!

The Raleigh team repairs ducted and recirculating hoods. A hood fault is often a small part, and the technician says so before anything is replaced. Weak suction, for example, is frequently grease in the filters, not a failed motor. On a hood visit the technician checks:
The repair price depends on the hood and the part, so the written estimate after the diagnosis gives you the number. You approve it before any work starts, and declining costs only the $65 diagnostic.
Before you call, with the fan off and the hood cool, wash the grease filters, check the wall switch and the breaker, and look at the outside cap from the ground while the fan runs. If the hood smells of burning or trips the breaker, switch it off at the breaker and leave it off until it has been checked. Fan faults usually come down to the switch, the control board, or the motor, and the light and the fan are switched separately, so a working fan does not rule out a bad light. Hood faults the team repairs are listed below:
We repair range hoods from the major brands, including pro-style lines. The model number, often on a label inside the hood or behind a filter, helps the technician match the part.

Swift Appliance Repair LLC is an independent service company. Brand names and logos belong to their respective owners. Listing a brand does not mean we are authorized by or affiliated with the manufacturer. Brands serviced may vary by area.
The Raleigh team covers 48 ZIP codes: most of Wake County plus nearby parts of Durham, Orange, Johnston, Harnett, and Franklin counties. If your town is below, we come to you. A town on the list doesn't always mean every ZIP in it, so the ZIP list below is the final word.
Pick an open 2-hour arrival window online or call the Raleigh team. Tell us the brand and what the appliance is doing so the technician brings the right parts.
The technician looks the appliance over and tells you what failed. Then you get a written estimate on the spot, with parts and labor included.
Nothing gets repaired until you approve the estimate. If you go ahead, the diagnostic fee is waived. If you don't, you pay the diagnostic fee and nothing else. And if a repair would run more than half the price of a new appliance, we'll tell you so you can decide.
If the technician has the part with them, the repair is usually done the same visit. If it has to be ordered, you pick a time for us to come back. Pay by card, cash, check, or tap. Labor is covered for 90 days.
The diagnostic is $65 per hood. Approve the repair and the fee is waived, so you pay only the price on your written estimate. Turn it down and the diagnostic is all you owe.
The price depends on the hood and on the part, so it is set after the diagnosis. Expect a bulb, a switch, or a damper to cost less than a motor, a blower assembly, or a control board. You see the written estimate before any work starts, and you can decline it.
In most weeks a visit is a day or two away. The booking page lists open 2-hour windows live. Tell us the brand, the symptom, and whether the hood vents outside, so the technician plans the parts.
A recirculating hood filters the air and sends it back into the room, so by design it clears less than a ducted hood and leaves heat, moisture, and gas-stove fumes in the kitchen. A spent charcoal filter lets odors back, and clogged metal filters cut the airflow, so replace the charcoal one on the manual's schedule and wash the metal ones. If that does not help, the technician tests the motor on each speed and tells you whether the hood is simply too small for your stove.
Often, yes, but try the simple fixes first. With the fan off and the hood cool, remove, wash, and reseat the filters. A rattle that remains may be an unbalanced blower wheel, which needs a technician. Grinding or squealing points to a worn motor bearing: stop using the hood and book a visit before the motor fails. The diagnostic is $65, waived if you approve the repair.
