Brief description

Water showed up at the front right corner of this LG front load washer. On a front loader, leaks often start near the detergent dispenser, which directs incoming water through the wash product and into the drum. Residue in its passages or damage to its housing can let water escape, while a loose supply connection is another common source. Water can run along the cabinet or floor before it becomes visible, so the puddle alone does not locate the leak.

What We Did

We ran a Speed Wash cycle and then tested the washer with a load, with no leaks during either initial test. After opening the unit, we found rust beneath the dispenser, but no cracks in it. We checked the water passages and found them clear, and the washer was level. Further testing found excessive water supply pressure. The leak occurred only when powdered detergent was used. Water crossed the uneven floor and collected at the front right corner, away from where it escaped. This visit was a diagnosis, and no part was replaced. For a similar leak, homeowners can check the detergent instructions and watch where water first appears, rather than relying on where it pools. If water keeps escaping, stop using the washer and have the supply pressure checked.

Our Working Process

  1. Book Your Appointment

Pick an open 2-hour arrival window online or call the Raleigh team. Tell us the brand and what the appliance is doing so the technician brings the right parts.

  2. Diagnosis & Written Estimate

The technician looks the appliance over and tells you what failed. Then you get a written estimate on the spot, with parts and labor included.

  3. Your Decision

Nothing gets repaired until you approve the estimate. If you go ahead, the diagnostic fee is waived. If you don't, you pay the diagnostic fee and nothing else. And if a repair would run more than half the price of a new appliance, we'll tell you so you can decide.

  4. Repair & Warranty

If the technician has the part with them, the repair is usually done the same visit. If it has to be ordered, you pick a time for us to come back. Pay by card, cash, check, or tap. Labor is covered for 90 days.
