Brief description

Neither oven would heat, and the upper oven light stayed off after the customer replaced the bulbs. When both ovens lose heat, the trouble usually points toward the electronic control or the relays that supply power to the heating circuits. Those relays switch power on when the oven calls for heat, and their contacts can fail with use. A light that stays dark with new bulbs suggests the issue goes beyond a burned-out lamp.

What We Did

We tested the switching relays and found that the DLB relay did not actuate. Based on that finding, we replaced the control board. The failed relay interrupted the switching needed for oven heat, so changing heating parts would not have addressed the fault we found. Replacing the board addresses the failed switching function at its source. We tested the unit after the replacement. With a similar fault, a homeowner can check that the oven settings are correct and that the household breaker has not tripped. If the breaker trips again or the ovens remain unresponsive, stop using the range and have it checked by a technician.

Our Working Process

  1. Book Your Appointment

Pick an open 2-hour arrival window online or call the Raleigh team. Tell us the brand and what the appliance is doing so the technician brings the right parts.

  2. Diagnosis & Written Estimate

The technician looks the appliance over and tells you what failed. Then you get a written estimate on the spot, with parts and labor included.

  3. Your Decision

Nothing gets repaired until you approve the estimate. If you go ahead, the diagnostic fee is waived. If you don't, you pay the diagnostic fee and nothing else. And if a repair would run more than half the price of a new appliance, we'll tell you so you can decide.

  4. Repair & Warranty

If the technician has the part with them, the repair is usually done the same visit. If it has to be ordered, you pick a time for us to come back. Pay by card, cash, check, or tap. Labor is covered for 90 days.
