- Referral partners: landlords, property managers, home warranty companies and insurers that send us a job.
- Suppliers and manufacturers: warranty status, part availability and order information.
- Public sources: map and address information used to confirm locations and plan routes.
- Our service providers: for example, message delivery status and payment confirmations.

- For business transfers: as part of a merger, sale, financing or reorganization of our business.
Some tools we use, such as our automated phone assistant and messaging features, process information automatically to answer, transcribe or summarize calls and messages. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.
We may also create de-identified or aggregated information (for example, the number of repairs completed or average repair prices in an area) and use or publish it for any lawful purpose.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only as described below.
4.1 Technicians. The technician assigned to your job, whether a Swift employee or an independent contractor technician working under an agreement with Swift, receives the information needed to do the job: your name, phone number, service address, access notes, appliance and job details, photos, and the service history for that appliance. We require our technicians to use customer information only to perform Swift’s Services and to keep it confidential.
4.2 Service providers. Companies that provide services to us process personal information on our behalf, including:
- Housecall Pro, our field service management platform, which hosts our customer and job records and provides online booking, scheduling and dispatch, your customer account, text messages, emails and calls, our automated phone assistant, estimates and electronic signatures, invoices, payments, review requests and marketing campaigns;
- payment processors that process card and other electronic payments;
- telecommunications and messaging providers and wireless carriers that deliver calls and texts;
- our website hosting provider, and Cloudflare, which provides content delivery, security and privacy-focused website analytics;
- Google, which provides maps, our tag management and advertising measurement tools, and business email and productivity tools; and
- accountants, bookkeepers, insurers, insurance brokers, lawyers, IT and web development contractors, and similar professional advisers.
4.3 Parts suppliers and manufacturers. We share appliance model and serial numbers, failure details and, when needed, your name and address, to order parts, ship parts to you, register parts, or make warranty claims.
4.4 People involved in your job. At your direction or as needed for the job, we share information with the property owner, landlord, property manager or tenant, and with a home warranty company or insurer (for example, invoices, diagnostic findings and photos).
4.5 Platforms and reviews. When you contact us through a platform such as Google, Yelp or Thumbtack, that platform receives the information you send. If you post a public review, we may reply publicly and may display the review on the Site with your name as it appears on that platform.
4.6 Advertising and analytics partners. Google receives online identifiers and information about your activity on the Site through cookies and tags, as described in Section 7. We do not give advertising partners your phone number or text-message consent.
4.7 Legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, a subpoena or other legal process; to protect the rights, property and safety of Swift, our technicians, customers and others; to enforce our Terms; and to collect amounts owed, including through collection agencies or courts.
4.8 Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, sale of assets, financing, or transfer of a service area to an affiliated company, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
4.9 With your consent. We share information in other ways when you ask us to or agree.
5. Text messaging (SMS) privacy
We collect your mobile number and your consent to receive text messages when you book, submit a question through the Site, text us, or opt in to promotional messages. We use them to send the messages described in Section 15 of our Terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding service providers (such as our messaging platform and wireless carriers) that deliver messages on our behalf.
Those service providers handle your number only to deliver our messages to you.
- Frequency and cost: Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message (or ask us in any reasonable way). You will receive one confirmation and no further texts from that number, including appointment updates, unless you reply START.
- Help: Reply HELP, email [email protected] or call (888) 800-8094.
- Promotional texts are sent only if you opted in to receive them, and only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. your local time. Consent to promotional texts is not a condition of purchase.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Phone calls, recordings and automated assistant
Calls to our phone numbers may be answered by an automated (AI) phone assistant, especially outside business hours. The assistant can answer questions and book appointments, and it collects the information you give it, such as your name, phone number, address and the problem with your appliance. Calls may be recorded and transcribed, and our service providers may create summaries of calls, to book and manage appointments, check quality, train staff and resolve disputes. If you do not want your call recorded, please hang up and contact us by email or through your customer account. Questions sent through the “Ask” form on our area pages are answered by a member of our team.
7. Cookies, tags and advertising
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Tags (also called pixels) are pieces of code that send information about your visit to a provider. We use them for the purposes below.
| Purpose | Provider | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Essential and security | Swift; Cloudflare | Keeps the Site working, remembers the service area you selected, protects forms from spam, and detects bots and attacks. |
| Analytics | Cloudflare Web Analytics; Google Analytics, if enabled | Measures visits and page performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to work without cookies. |
| Advertising and measurement | Google Ads, through Google Tag Manager | Records that you arrived from one of our ads and whether you then booked or called (for example, through the “_gcl” cookies), and may be used to show our ads to people who visited the Site (remarketing). |
| Embedded and linked services | Google Maps; Housecall Pro | Maps on our area pages are provided by Google. Our online booking page and customer account are hosted by Housecall Pro, which uses its own cookies under its own privacy policy. |
Your choices:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.
- Control how Google personalizes ads at myadcenter.google.com.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.networkadvertising.org and optout.aboutads.info.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is no common standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so the Site does not respond to them. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
Under some state laws, using advertising cookies for remarketing may be considered “sharing” personal information or “targeted advertising.” To opt out, use the choices above or a browser that sends a GPC signal. Because these cookies are not linked to your name, we cannot opt you out of them by phone or email.
8. Your choices and rights
8.1 Marketing. To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link or tell us. To stop only promotional texts, tell us, and we will keep sending texts about Services you have booked. Replying STOP stops all texts from that number, including appointment updates, until you reply START.
8.2 Access, correction, deletion and a copy of your information. Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you access to it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information we hold about you; and
- give you a copy of information you provided to us in a portable format.
To opt out of targeted advertising, use the choices in Section 7.
8.3 How to make a request. Email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request,” call (888) 800-8094, or write to us at the address in Section 17. To protect your information, we verify your identity by matching details we already have, such as your name, phone number and service address, and we may send a confirmation code to the phone number or email on file. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide your signed permission. We respond to requests as required by applicable law and, where no law requires it, make reasonable efforts to honor them, generally within 45 days. We may extend that by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice to you.
8.4 Limits. We may keep information we are required or permitted by law to keep, such as invoices and tax records, records needed for warranty claims or disputes, and the minimum information needed to honor your opt-out requests. Information in backups is deleted on the normal backup cycle. Deleting your information may close your customer account and remove your service history.
8.5 Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word “Appeal.” We will respond within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact the Attorney General of your state.
8.6 No discrimination. We will not deny Services, charge different prices or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
8.7 State law. Residents of some states have rights under state privacy laws when those laws apply to us. You can exercise them as described in this Section. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including legal, tax, warranty and dispute purposes. In general:
- customer and job records (contact details, addresses, appliance details, photos, notes, estimates, approvals and invoices) are generally kept while you are a customer and for seven years after your last service;
- call recordings and transcripts are kept for a limited period for quality and dispute purposes;
- records of text-message opt-outs are kept as long as needed to honor them;
- job applications are generally kept for up to two years; and
- website analytics and advertising data are kept according to the settings of the provider.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site, security and bot protection, access controls in our business systems, and established service providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law, including the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act.
Help us protect you: do not forward links to your customer account, and be cautious of messages asking for payment details. We will never ask for your full card number or a password by text, and our technicians will never ask you to pay into a personal account or payment app. If you receive a suspicious message that claims to be from Swift, contact us.
11. Children
The Site and our Services are intended for adults. Only adults (18 or older) may book or approve Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Job and technician applicants
When you apply through our careers page, we collect your name, phone number, email, ZIP code and the experience you describe. We use this information to evaluate your application, contact you by phone, text or email about it, and, with your knowledge, check your work history and references. Documents needed to engage technicians, such as tax forms and insurance certificates, are collected separately from the Site. We generally keep applications for up to two years and do not share them except with service providers, with the references and former employers you list, and as described in Section 4.7.
13. Business customers and partners
If you contact us on behalf of a landlord, property management company, home warranty company, supplier or other business, we use your business contact information to manage our relationship, provide Services and communicate with you.
14. Third-party sites and services
The Site links to websites and services we do not control, including our Housecall Pro online booking page and customer account, Google, Yelp, Thumbtack and Facebook. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information. We encourage you to read them.
15. Where information is processed
We operate in the United States, and the Site is intended for people in the United States. Our main systems store personal information in the United States, but some members of our team and our service providers may access and process it from other countries.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site before the changes take effect. Material changes will apply to information collected before the change only with your consent.
