Electric Stove Burner Not Heating
Electric burner not heating? Check that the coil sits firmly in its socket and the element is intact, then see what one cold burner or all of them means.

The Vancouver team repairs freestanding and slide-in ranges, wall ovens, double ovens and dual-fuel models. An oven that stays cold usually needs a bake element or, on a gas oven, an igniter; one that runs too hot or too cool needs a temperature sensor; and a gas burner that clicks without lighting often needs cleaning or a spark module. Labor from our rate table:
Parts and tax are separate, and the diagnosis sets the final labor. Burner, ignition area and fan cleaning are on the Vancouver rate table; a door hinge or a lock motor is priced after the diagnosis.
If you smell gas, leave the house and call 911 and your gas utility (NW Natural in the Vancouver area) from outside before you call us. For an electric oven that will not heat, check the breaker and the control lock first. These are the oven and range problems the team repairs:
We repair ovens and ranges from the major brands and from the professional-style lines. Say whether the unit is gas, electric, or dual fuel when you book, since the heating parts differ.

Swift Appliance Repair LLC is an independent service company. Brand names and logos belong to their respective owners. Listing a brand does not mean we are authorized by or affiliated with the manufacturer. Brands serviced may vary by area.
The Vancouver team covers 16 ZIP codes in Clark County, Washington: Vancouver, Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Orchards and Felida, plus Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Brush Prairie and Ridgefield. We work on the Washington side of the river only and do not serve Portland. A listed town does not always mean every ZIP in it, so the ZIP list below is the final word.
Choose an open 2-hour arrival window online or call the Vancouver team. Tell us the brand, the model if you have it, and what the appliance is doing, so the technician comes with the right parts.
The technician tests the appliance and explains what failed. You get a written estimate on the spot that lists parts and labor.
No repair starts until you approve the estimate. Approve it and the diagnostic fee is waived; decline it and you pay only the diagnostic. If the repair would cost more than about half the price of a comparable new appliance, the technician tells you first.
If the technician has the part on hand, the repair usually happens on the same visit. If it has to be ordered, you pick the return time. Pay by card, cash, check or tap. Repairs are covered by a warranty of up to 1 year, depending on the work.

$85 per appliance, for freestanding ranges and built-in wall ovens alike. Approve the repair and the fee is waived; decline it and the diagnostic is the only charge.
Yes. We replace igniters, spark modules, safety valves, regulators and manifolds inside gas ranges and ovens. We do not connect appliances to gas lines or work on propane tanks; that is work for a licensed gas contractor.
The booking page shows open 2-hour windows live, and the first one is the soonest visit. Tell us gas or electric, the brand and the symptom when you book.
Yes. Battle Ground and Ridgefield are in the Vancouver team's area, together with Vancouver, Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Orchards, Felida, Brush Prairie, Camas and Washougal. The ZIP list on this page decides.
Let the oven cool completely: most doors stay locked until the inside drops to a safe temperature, which can take an hour or more. If it is cold and still locked, switch the breaker off for a minute and back on. If the lock still holds, the lock motor or switch has likely failed, and the technician can repair it.
